Matt Jones
Vice President of Land
Matt Jones serves as Vice President of Land of Valedor Energy. A Certified Professional Landman with 16 years of experience, he brings extensive expertise across land acquisition, administration, and asset development. Prior to joining Valedor, Matt served as Director of Land at Encino Energy, where he oversaw land acquisition and land administration. Previously, he served as Senior Manager of Land at Encino, supporting the company’s three-to-four rig drilling program. Before joining Encino, Matt gained valuable experience at Marathon Oil, where he focused on developing assets in the Anadarko Basin and Eagle Ford, and served on the Exploration Team. Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management, Finance, and Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.
