 Mark Barret serves as Chief Financial Officer of Valedor Energy. He brings experience across corporate finance, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets. Prior to joining Valedor, Mark served as an Executive Director in the Energy Group at Moelis & Company where he advised management teams, boards of directors, and financial sponsors on strategic transactions across the upstream oil and gas sector. Other investment banking experience includes Guggenheim Securities and Citi where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, structured transactions, and financing. Throughout his career, Mark has worked with majors, large-cap independents, private operators, and financial sponsors. Mark earned an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, a JD from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and a bachelor of science from Texas Tech University.
